Description

Gift with warranty from William Dawes of Church Lawford gentleman, to Arthur Gregorie of Stivichall esquire, reciting an indenture of 1 April 30 Elizabeth whereby the said William conveyed to the said Arthur all that mount or piece of ground called Castell Hills in Brinklowe enclosed within a moat to the southwest, and with a close of Thomas Bentley towards the northeast, and the churchyard of Brinklow towards the west, and lying between a parcel of ground or pasture to the south, together with the pond which encompasses the said mount and the fishing therein. It is now witnessed that the said William has conveyed in addition to the said Arthur all his chief rents, suits and services of his free men of Brinklowe, and all escheats, reliefs and profits due to the said william as of his manor of Brinklowe; to hold the same to the said Arthur and his heirs for ever of the chief lord of the fee.
