Description

Letters patent of Edward VI, confirming to Thomas Fissher, esq., the manors of Tachebrooke, Ichington Episcopi, Chaddeshunt and Gaydon, with the advowsons of Tachebroke, Fenny Compton and Ichington and other appurtenances in Tachebroke, Gaydon, Chaddeshunt, Stichall, Naspes, Assherne, Wasperton, Fenny Compton, Ichington superior and Ichington inferior, granted to the said Thomas at an annual rent of 40 pounds, by Richard, bishop of Coventry, on 20 February, 1 Edward VI [1546/7] and confirmed by the Dean and Chapter of the same, on 15 April 1547, which rent was quitclaimed by the said bishop on 14 December, 2 Edward VI [1548] and by the said Dean and Chapter on 31 December, 2 Edward VI; and also confirming to the said Thomas the manors of Chudham [Chidham] and Thorney [West Thorney], co. Sussex, the manors of Horseley [Horsley] and Tyting [Tyting Farm], co. Surrey, the rectory of South Mens [South Mimms] and the manor of Fernefeldes [Farne Fields] in Heringham, alias Haringhay, co. Middx., with the advowsons in the above places and the appurtenances in the same and in Bossum [Bosham], Eston, Weston and Middelton, granted to the said Thomas by John bishop of Exeter on 9 August, 2 Edward VI [1548], and confirmed by the Dean and Chapter of the same on 20 August 1548.
