Description

Conveyance by Dame Alice Leigh, widow of Sir Thomas Leigh, alderman of London to Thomas Coney of Basyngthorpe, Lincs., esquire, Edward Baber of Lincolns Inn, gent., and George Bonde, citizen and haberdasher of London [her sons-in-law], for the finishing of the almshouses at Stoneleigh begun by her and her late husband, of Milbourne Grange, appurtenances, water mill called Wood Mill, and lands [specified] in Stoneleigh, as trustees for the founding and endowing of the almshouses. If an any time the said Dame Alice pay to the said Coney, Baber or Bonde the sum of 10s for the use of the poor children of Christs Hospital in London, then conveyance to be void.
