Description

Gift from John Combe of Honylegh' to William de Barwelle, then Receiver of Warwick Castle, of land with woods, meadows, moors, groves, hedges, ditches, pastures, feedings, and appurtenances in Baddesleye Clinton' called Gilbardeslond. Also three crofts in Rowynton', two called le Hocstede and the third called le Lye. To hold the same for ever from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service Sealing clause. Witnesses: John Godeman de Rowynton'; Roger Hukyns de Wroxhale; Simon le Baillif de Rowynton'; Thomas le Harpere of the same; John Whitelye de Wroxhale; William atte Grene de Hatton; Robert Machun of the same and others. Given at Baddesleye Clinton' Sunday next before the feast of St. Luke the Evangelist 3 Richard II [16 October 1379]. Tag and seal torn away.
