Copy will of Ralph Poole of Beoley, Worcs., yeoman. To be buried in parish church of Beoley. 40/- to poor of Tanworth and 40/- to poor of Beoley to be paid one month after death. To wife Ann, 10/-; to grandson John Field, messuage, lands and appurtenances in Studley in occupation William Causier and George Robins, in tail male or in default tail female with remainder to right heirs of John. To daughter Frances Field, messuage and appurtenances in Tanworth lately purchased of Edward Bentford and Simon his son, to hold for life subject to payment to her son Poole of £3 p.a. at 21. To grandchild Poole Field, reversion of premises above together with messuage and appurtenances in Tanworth in occupation Francis Baker lately purchased of John Bidle, messuage and appurtenances in Aspley, Wootton Wawen in occupation said Poole Field in tail as above. To grandson Poole Field all household goods in house at Aspley: to grandchildren Mary Field, Ann Field and Francis Field £100 each; to each godchild 12d; to servant Richard Roe, 40/-; to servant Dorothy Poole 40/-; to William Ausop 5/-; to Margret Cotterell 5/-; to William Poole 40/-; to Justinian Poole 40/-; to brother Francis £6; to the son of Edward 10/- Residue to daughter Frances who with Gilbert Hill is executor. £5 to Gilbert Hill for his pains. Overseers: son-in-law John Field, Hugh Lea and brother Edward Poole. Witnesses: Thomas Raunce, Thomas Wagstaffe, William Brian (by mark), Richard Wagstaffe (by mark).
