Copy Will: Thomas Applebee, Bearley and Snitterfield

Copy Will of Thomas Appelbee of Snitterfield, wheelwright, whereby he devised to his wife Mary Appelbee his two messuages in Bearley, then in the occupations of William Bennett and Richard Hitchcox, for her life during widowhood and after her decease or marriage to the use of testator's son Edward Appelbee and his heirs for ever; and he bequeathed to his sons Edward, Morris, Benjamin and Thomas £200 each; to his son Benjamin his stock in trade and implements in his business as wheelwright; to his friends Thomas Elvins of Shelfield, farmer, and Richard Tyrall of Warwick, grocer, £800 upon trust to invest the same and pay the income thereof to his wife Mary for her life and, after her death, to call in and divide the same among the testator's said children equally, but provided nevertheless, if the said Mary should re-marry, then upon trust to call in and divide £600 among the testator's children equally and pay the income of the remaining £200 to his wife for her life and after her death to call in and divide the same between the testator's children equally; and he bequeathed the residue of his property to his son Edward Appelbee and appointed his wife during widowhood and his son Edward his executrix and executor. Witnesses: Lawrence Eborall Edkins, Thomas Heydon and Alexander Parkes. Testator died 20 February 1822 and was buried at Snitterfield. Will proved, 19 June 1822.
