Description

Lease and Release dated 25 and 26 January 1737/8 (Old style) [1738], the Release being a Mortgage from Thomas Evans of Black Fryers [Blackfriars] London, now of Long Acre, co. Middlesex, executor, brother and heir of Walter Evans of Brails [Brailes] clerk, deceased, who was executor of the will of William Prestidge of Brails, gent., deceased, to Henry Stanyford of Fryday Street, London, gent., of two messuages, lands and premises and three and a quarter yard lands in Halford, to secure £750 with interest. Signed and sealed by Thomas Evans. Witnesses: Thomas Manning and William Hippisley. Endorsement of examination of this deed by William Hippisley in a case in a Chancery between Henry Stanyford and others, plaintiffs and Wing Canning and others, defendants [1739].
