Copy of the Will of John Hancox of Shennington [Shenington], co. Gloucester, yeoman. Bequests: A messuage and lands in Oxhill to his eldest son, John, subject to a similar £3 annuity to his wife, Ann and a mortgage of £65. All implements and stock of cattle and crops to his son, Richard, subject to a similar £3 annuity to his wife, Ann, and the sum of £40 for which Testator was bound to Executor of Mrs. Maddoms, deceased. £10 each to his son, William, his daughters, Lydia, Ann, wife of William Compton and Joanna, wife of John Broof. £15 to his daughter, Elizabeth. All household goods to his wife, Ann, and all other personal estate to his said son, Richard who was appointed Executor. Witnesses: John Plumb, Thomas Edwards and John Townshend. [Hancox]
