Description

A terrier of arable lands, meadows, common etc. pertaining to two yard-lands and a quarter in the fields meadows and commonable places of Bishopton, Old Stratford, Shotterie, Welcome, and Hampton, bequeathed to William Hicks (lately deceased) and Anne his wife by the Will of Henry Smith, gent., dated 4 February 1638/9 (Old style) [1639] as divided by William Horne and Robert Howes of Bishopton, yeoman, chosen on behalf of the said Anne Hicks on the one part and of Thomas Dighton, gent., on the other part, in accordance with the said Will. Undated. The names of the owners of lands bordering the several plots are: William Ainge, Thomas Dighton, widow Greene, Symon Cale, Thomas Greene senior, Thomas Hitchcox, William Home, Henry Cale, Jackson Merrell, Thomas Combe, (late) William Combe, Richard Hunt, William Lyndon, John Trappe, John Brookes and Richard Smart.
