Henry earl of Clarendon, farmer of the reverend father in Christ, George bishop of Winchester, held 27 April 29 Charles II, 1677, before Sir Littleton Osbaldeston bart. steward. Copy of court roll recording the surrender out of court on 27 December 1676 by Richard Dalby of London gent. and Anne his wife to the use of trustees for and during the life of the said Anne, of a capital messuage and 2 tenements lying between the lands of Thomas Croftes and William Foster in Le West and in the tithing of Hayley, an acre of land in Long Breach, 5 messuages situated between a barn late Thomas Croftes and a messuage late Michael Bishopp, and a close called Peartree close, 4 closes in Merryfields and a parcel of land called Pirtons, all in the tithing of Hayley The trustees were John Basse of Kington co. Warwick gent., Nicholas Warner of Tiso co. Warwick gent., David Hughes of Burford co. Oxon. mercer, Winchester Draper of Bewerne Grange co. Oxon. gent., Richard Draper of London merchant and Thomas Baylies of London wollen draper. Examined and signed by the steward.
