Grant by Samuel Brookes junior of Birmingham, button maker, to John Brookes of Aston Cantloe, yeoman, of the reversion [remainder] of the remaining half share of the 2 freehold tenements in Winsor Street late in the tenure of Joseph Page and John Russel at the time the other half share was conveyed to Francis Brookes, father of the grantee [DR192/16]. The grantor had become entitled to his half share on the decease of his brother, Thomas Brookes, drowned in the Courageux man of war upon the Barbary Coast on 10 December 1796; consideration, £5 in hand and £10 to be paid at the death of Samuel Brookes senior.
