Conveyance by lease and release, and assignment, from John Andrew Holmes of Stratford-upon-Avon, schoolmaster, and Elizabeth Jane his wife, with the consent of John Rowden Westbury, late of Stratford-upon-Avon, schoolmaster, but now of Stroudwater, co. Glos., clothier, to Robert Hobbes of Stratford-upon-Avon, gentleman, and his trustee, John Thomas Hobbes of Coventry, esquire, (reciting DR316/13-14, 16-17, and that John Holmes had repaid the £200 lent to him by John Westbury on the security of the recited mortgage, but that no release had been executed) for £200, of the freehold and leasehold property in Ely Street, as described in DR316/16-17, but with the cottages on the west side of the leasehold property now in the tenures of ---- Allam, William Porter and ---- Hobday, widow, and the orchard on the south now belonging to Messrs. Battersbee and Morris, bankers, and the Corporation of Stratford; the property to remain subject to the payment of £200 due to the executors of Wilson Marshall (see DR316/16-18).
