Agreements of John Payton, of Stratford, innholder - with Thomas Kirby, of Chappell on the Heath, co. Oxon., as to keeping post-chaises at Chappell House al. the Shakespeare's Head; 21 September 1761 (f. 29) - with Thomas Nott, of Stratford, apothecary, to save him harmless from the rent of Partloe turnpike tolls, his name being used in trust; 11 September 1764 (ff.32,34)
