Copy draft release from Rev. H.C. Knight late of Bognor co. Sussex but then of [Oak Hill house, West Cowes crossed through] Cadogan Place, co. Middx. clerk and Charles Raleigh Knight of 36 Montague Square co. Middx. esq. late a captain in Her Majesty's 25th regiment of infantry and [blank] of the 4th part, to John Bullar of 11 Kings Bench Walk, Temple, London esq. and William Frederick Beadon of 9 Stratford Place, Oxford Street co. Middx. esq. in respect of the trusts declared by two indentures dated 5 April 1855, reciting (1) an indenture dated 19 January 1844 between H.C. Knight and C.R. Knight; (2) an indenture dated 5 April 1855 between H.C. Knight, C.R. Knight, William Parke, John Bullar and W.F. Beadon whereby the various estates subject to the will of Robert earl of Catherlough were conveyed in trust to the two last-named; (3) an indenture of the same date between H.C. Knight and C.R. Knight and John Bullar and W.F. Beadon defining the trusts for the division of estates between the said H.C. Knight and C.R. Knight; (4) and reciting that it had been ascertained that there were no heirlooms subject to the trusts, the heirlooms bequeathed by the Earl's will having previously become the absolute property of Robert Knight, and that the personal estate involved consisted only of certain turnpike bonds for £150; (5) that the said trustees had paid out £6,141.0s.ld. for succession duty, and had borrowed two several sums of £1,000 and £750 from Messrs. Currie Co., and had repaid them from the estate income; (6) that the trustees had distributed all the monies arising from the sales made by them in pursuance of the subsisting trusts, and had conveyed the unsold residue of such hereditaments and personal estate to and between H.C. Knight and C.R. Knight according to their respective interests viz. to H.C. Knight at the estimated value of £24,071.13s.5d. and £1,000, making a total of £25,071.13s.5d., by two indentures dated 24 June 1857 between the said John Bullar and W.F. Beadon and H.C. Knight, and the remaining part to C.R. Knight at an estimated value of £25,262 by indenture dated 24 June 1857 between John Bullar and W.F. Beadon, H.C. Knight, C.R. Knight and William Parke; (7) and that John Bullar and W.F. Beadon had furnished to H.C. Knight and C.R. Knight an account of all the monies arising from sale, and all rents and profits, interest and annual income, and of the £1,750 borrowed (the said account being annexed as a schedule). It was then witnessed that the said H.C. Knight and C.R. Knight released and discharged the said John Bullar and W.F. Beadon of all claims and demands arising from their trusteeship.
