Mortgagedated 27 June 1860 by Henry Burman, Stratford-upon-Avon, patent brick and pipe manufacturer to Charles Lucy, Stratford-upon-Avon, miller, to secure £3000 and interest of: (1) Policy of Assurance dated 6 January 1858 on life of Henry Burman with Scottish Widows Fund and Life Assurance Society for £1000. (2) Land on the west side of Warwick Road with frontage of 95' 4" abutted on north by house of Charles Pratt, on west by land of charity trustees, on south by land intended to be laid out as a new street, together with house newly erected thereon by Henry Burman. All which land was granted to Henry Burman by charity trustees by lease dated 2 May 1857 to hold for 184 years at £12 p.a.
