Conveyance: messuages in High Street, Startford-upon-Avon

Description

Conveyance by lease and release from William Halford of Alveston, gentleman, with the consent of Pearshouse Drury of Evesham, co. Worcs., brazier, to John Michell Silvester of Stratford-upon-Avon, druggist, (reciting DR65/20-22, 24-25) for £250 still owing on the recited mortgage and for a further £110 paid by the said John Silvester to Pearshouse Drury, of a messuage (being one of three lately erected on the site of two messuages) in High Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, late in the tenure of Alexander Boote, Agent for the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal Navigation, and now of the said John Silvester, bounded on one side by one of the said two other messuages lately purchased by John Manton, glazier, and late in his occupation, but now in the tenure of Henry Richardson, whitesmith, and on the other side by a messuage belonging to the Poor of Clifford in the tenure of Thomas Satchel, peruk maker. It is also witnessed that Thomas Cresswell of Stratford-upon-Avon, gentleman, has assigned to John Smith of Preston on Stour, co. Glos., yeoman, a term of 2000 years in the said property vested in him by the recited indentures of 30 and 31 July 1802, to hold in trust to attend the inheritance.
