Description

Undated copy of proceedings in the case concerning common of pasture [DR10/1585]. Robert Turnor denied that the said Humphrey Ferrers was seised of the manor of Styvechall, alias Stychehall, that the disputed piece of land was ever part of the said manor, and that the said Humphrey Ferrers gave the said manor to the said Arthur and Jane. He maintained that at the time of the diseisin Henry lord Barkeley was seised of the said manor, in whose time it was believed that the great heath in Stychehall called le Heath had never formed part of the said manor.
