Description

Lease and Release to lead to the uses of a Recovery between William Green of Kenilworth, yeoman and Sarah his wife, Elizabeth Green, Frankston, spinster, Thomas Langham, Monks Kirby, labourer and Hannah his wife (formerly Green) and William Hughes Hewitt, Clapham, Surrey, gent. and Robert Draper, Kenilworth, tanner (as trustees) of premises as in /6-7, of which three half acres were consolidated at enclosure in 1756 into 1 1/2 acre allotment [containing 4 ac. 3r. 18p.] in SE of New Field, bounded on NW by road from Knowle Hill Gravel Pit over New Field; on NE by road leading to the Glass House and an allotment of Mary Edwards, on East by inclosures of Ashow and on SW by allotment of Richard Hurley. Recitals (1) DR18/10/76/6-7 and death of William Lattimore leaving Mary, only child and tenant in tail. (2) DR18/10/76/8 and marriage at Ashow 1.8.1752. Issue of marriage three sons and one daughter of whom only William Riley survived infancy and died in India in 1774 [DR 18/10/76/10]. Thomas Riley died 23.4.1758 and Mary Riley died Jan. 1814. (3) Elizabeth Green and Hannah Langham are daughters of Lydia Green, (nee Nown) one of daughters of Hannah Nown (nee Lattimore) only heir female of William and Mary (nee Lee, only child of William and Elizabeth) Elizabeth and Hannah are heirs in tail female, Mary the other daughter of Hannah Lattimore by first husband James Overs, being deceased without issue. (4) William Green is brother of Elizabeth and Hannah and heir general of Mary Lee.
