Grant: High Street, Stratford-upon-Avon

Description

Grant from William Hale of Stratford-upon-Avon, weaver, and Isabella his wife to Thomas Osborn of Stratford, barber, of a tenement in Stratford in High Street between a tenement of Thomas Staffordshire called the Swan and a tenement of William Miller, mercer. Witnesses: Richard Lokyer, capital bailiff of Stratford, John Clopton and John Gylbert, constables of the same, William Sampson and Thomas Weuer, sub-bailiffs and Roger Palmer and W[illiam] Blakeman. Dated at Stratford, Saturday after the feast of the Ascension, 11 Edward IV [1471]. Two seals of red wax: i) Broken, a fleur de lys within a hexagram ii) Fleur de lys.
