Description

Copy probate of the will of Thomas Mills of Stratford-upon-Avon, surgeon and apothecary, dated 9 June 1835, with the following bequests: a) to his son, Samuel Mills, the messuage wherein he lives in High Street, for life, with remainder to his wife, Charlotte, and, after her death or second marriage, to their son, John Mills. b) to his grandson, Thomas Mills (eldest son of Samuel Mills) the adjoining messuage in High Street wherein the testator lives, with all personal effects therein not otherwise bequeathed c) to his son-in-law, Septimus Sutton Lowe of Stratford-upon-Avon, surgeon and apothecary, the messuage wherein he lives in Chapel Street, with remainder to his sons, John Lowe, Joseph Lowe and Charles Lowe in succession, should any of them die without issue; and for whom he also establishes a trust fund d) to his sister, Ann Ariss of Sibford, £10 e) to her son, Thomas Ariss, £5 f) to her other son, Benjamin Ariss, £5 g) to trustees (John Tasker, of Stratford-upon-Avon, gentleman, John Tasker the younger of the same and William Warrilow of the same, writing master) all the residue of his real and personal estate, and to use the profits to provide an annuity of £50 for life for his son, James Mills, an annuity of £12 for life for his sister, Ann Ariss, and support for the sons of Samuel Mills until the youngest reaches the age of 21, and then to sell the same.
