Spernall deed

Description

Lease and release, the release being a conveyance from Sir John Courtenay Throckmorton of Buckland, Berks. bart. to Francis Ingram Seymour Conway, Marquis and Earl of Hertford, of a messuage and lands of c. 187 acres in Spernall and Studley in the tenure of -- Spires, with tithes etc. purchased from Robert Berkley, the younger of Spetchely, Worcs. Also a messuage and lands in Sambourn, late in the tenure of John Perks, formerly the copyhold lands of Mary Hutton, widow, a messuage and lands in Buckland, Berks. in the tenure of William Ely, (lands described), a messuage, lands of over 32 acres (described) and a fish pool at Alne Hills in Great Alne, late in the tenure of John Gardner, and land of over 2 acres in Oversley in Arrow, in the tenure of Mary Whissell, widow, late the estate of the Earl of Warwick and sold to the Marquis of Hertford. To hold to the uses of the settlement made on the marriage of Sir John Courtenay Throckmorton and Mary Catherine Giffard in 1782.
