Conveyance from William Hutchings of Stratford-upon-Avon, auctioneer (surviving trustee of the will of the late Charles Mills the elder of Old Stratford, gentleman) and Charles James Mills of the same, custodian of the Post Office (grandson of the said Charles Mills) to George Heritage Mills of Halford Bridge, grocer, for £97 10s. 0d., of two cottages numbered 3 and 4 Paddock Lane bounded on the north by land formerly of Dinah Warrilow and now of Elizabeth Harding, on the south by land formerly of Charles Mills but now of Francis Tustain, on the east by the garden of no. 15 College Street and on the west by a private road leading into Bull Street; which said cottages are now in the tenure of Sarah Bennett and George Fletcher. With the following recitals: i) 20 July 1861: will of Charles Mills bequeathing to trustees (Thomas Reeve Hobbins and William Hutchings) ten freehold messuages in College Street and Bull Street then in the occupations of Mrs. Warner, Henry Smith, ... Rutter, Samuel Walker, Richard Bennett, Widow King, Charles Harris, John Mills, .... Kastor and Charles Mills, to hold in trust for the benefit of his wife, Ann Mills, for life, then in trust for his son, Charles Mills of Stratford-upon-Avon, tailor, for life, and then for his grandsons, Charles James Mills and George Heritage Mills, sons of Charles Mills the younger. ii) 16 April 1863: death of Charles Mills the younger. iii) 22 February 1877: death of Charles Mills the elder. iv) 11 January 1892: death of Thomas Reeve Hobbins. 18 May 1905: death of Ann Mills.
