Compton Verney: early deeds, Compton Murdak, a grant

Description

Grant by Geoffrey Dobyn of Chadshunt to John of Gaydon, called the Clerk, one messuage and one virgate of land with appurtenances in the town and fields of Compton Murdak, together with Alan his serf with all his goods and chattels.

Also grants to John, an annual rent of sixteen strikes of corn, old measure, payable at Michaelmas by John Durvassal from one hide of land.

Endorsed to the effect that Geoffrey Dobyn was son and heir of Richard of Chadshunt, clerk, and heir of Alice, wife of the said Richard, which Alice was aunt of William of Gaydon
