Compton Verney: early deeds, Compton Murdak, a grant

Description

Agreement between Robert, son of William Durvassal of Compton Murdak and William Clerk of Gaydon whereby Robert has granted to the said William Clerk, twenty shillings annual rent arising from one messuage and one virgate of land with appurtenances in Compton Murdak, which John Shepherd and Alice his wife hold of the said Robert for their lives, together with the reversion of the said mesusage and land forever.

To hold the same twenty shillings rent and premises from the chief lord of the fee for services due and accustomed and rendering annually to the said Robert, his heirs or assigns, for the ensuing ten years, one rose on St John's Day in lieu of all services due to the said Robert.

After the ten years, Willam and his heirs to pay annually one hundred silver shillings at two terms of the year.
