Compton Verney: early deeds, Compton Murdak, a grant

Description

Grant by the Dean and canons of the Collegiate Church of the Blessed Mary, Warwick to John, son of John Jones of Compton Murdak, chaplain, of one messuage and half a virgate of arable land with appurtenances in the town and fields of Compton Murdak, formerly in the tenure of Robert Moon.

To hold the same for a term of three hundred years, paying two shillings and sixpence annually to the canon holding the prebend of Compton, viz: fifteen pence at each of Michaelmas and Lady Day, and a cock and two hens at Christmas.
