Compton Verney: early deeds

Description

Grant by Sir Thomas Murdak of Compton Murdak, knight, lord of Compton Murdak, to Richard of Compton aforesaid, his [ ],of one plot of land lying between the croft of William Skinner ('Pelliparius') on one side and the king's highway to Chasdhunt on the other.

To hold the same plot with appurtenances to the said Richard or his assigns for term of his life, paying twenty shillings sterling, and annually thereafter while the said Richard lives, one girth/girdle ('warrock') at Christmas.

Dated at Compton Murdak, Sunday within the octave of the Assumption of the Virgin, 6 Edward II
