Compton Verney: early deeds, Compton Murdak, a grant
Description
Grant by Thomas Fishe, perpetual vicar of Bloxham and Thomas Tymmes of the same place, to Alice, wife of John Wattes of Bloxham, of all their lands, tenements, pastures and appurtenances in Compton Murdak which formerly belonged to William Durvassal and which they had by gift and feoffment of the said John Wattes.
To hold the same for term of her life from the chief lord of the fee, with reversion to Joan, sister of the said John Wattes, in perpetuity, of the chief lord. If Joan dies without heirs of her body, then to descend to the right heirs of the said John, to be held of the chief lord of the fee for services due and accustomed.
