Compton Verney: early deeds, Compton Murdak, appointment of attorneys

Description

Appointment by John Vampage of Pershore, William Lucy of Charlecote, esqs.; John Ruggeley of Shenstone and John Chetwynde, clerk, of John Nowell, clerk and Henry Somerlone as attornies to deliver to John Verney, clerk, full and peaceful seisin and possession of their manor of Compton Murdak in Warwickshire, with rights and appurtenances.

Which said manor they lately had, together with Richard Bole, clerk, Hugh Lache, William Clerk, Robert Godeboure, William Walton and Roger Billesdon, chaplain, by gift and feoffment of the said John Verney, Thomas Hill, John Redehill and William Bokeland, as by their deed more plainly appears.

The said Richard Bole, Hugh Lache, William Clerk, Robert Godeboure, William Walton and Roger Billesdon have already released their rights to other grantors. To the use of John Verney for life with remainder to Richard Verney, esq. and Eleanor his wife.
