Description

Probate of the will of Elizabeth Jones of Marston Sicca, widow, dated 26 December 1795, with the following bequests: i) to her nephew, Simon Paine (son of brother Simon Paine of Quinton), all her lands and messuages, and £20. ii) To her brother, Simon Paine, £10. iii) To her nieces, Sarah, Alice and Mary (daughters of Simon Paine), £50 apiece. iv) To her cousin, John Paine, £5. v) To James Hodges of Dorsington, £10. To the poor of Long Marston thirty shillings and requesting that her executor, Simon Paine the younger, provide twenty half-crown cakes at her funeral and twelve bottles of wine, and that he divide the residue of her estate between her said nephew and three nieces.
