Compton Verney: early deeds, Compton, a grant

Description

Grant by Sir Thomas Murdak, lord of Compton Murdak, to Thomas Croppewel of Compton Murdak, of two parcels of that messuage which formerly belonged to William of Eyton, lying beside the wall of Compton church; of which one piece is forty one feet long and eighteen feet wide, and the other twent nine feet long and thirty three feet wide.

To hold the said two parcels of land at an annual rent of a rose payable on St John's day during the life of the said Thomas Croppwell, and after his death, his heirs to pay twelve pence annually at four usual terms. No heriot will be due during the life of Thomas Murdak.
