Interview with Percy Parriss, born 1890; where he recalls:
- his days as a choir boy when George Arbuthnot was vicar;
- Reuben Gray and his dispute with the Salvation Army and other tales;

- schooldays at the Church of England School and then the Commercial School;
- his uncle, Henry Hewins, organ builder;
- his own life as an organ builder;
- his experiences in the R.A.M.C. during World War I, first in Gallipoli and then at Rubery Hospital, Birmingham;
- his purchase of the site of 28 Banbury Road;
- anti-Boer [South Africa] demonstrations in Stratford in 1900;
- 'Cal Cooke' of the 'Dillen';
- the courts in Sheep Street;
- Trinity College organ and Marie Corelli;
- Freemasonry in Stratford;
- his mother voting for Anthony Eden;
- social attitudes.
