Interview with Mary Williams (nee Winn), born 1906; recalling the Smith family of Ryon Hill, Mrs. Eleanor Melville of Avonbank, her father Edwin Winn's horse-dealing business in Stratford, ending in bankruptcy, the Garrick Inn run by her grandmother Mary Ann Page; her private education at the High School in Rother Street and then at Belmont in Maidenhead Road; the Welcombe Estate; shopping in Stratford; the Unicorn Inn and the Falcon Inn, also tenanted by her grandmother; the Flower family; her experiences as a live singer in Birmingham picture houses, and her other jobs whilst away from Stratford; other family reminiscences.
