Assignment from Richard Hunt of Stratford-upon-Avon, mercer, John Halford of Armscote, gent., and John Boune of Coventry, gent., to Thomas Taylor of Ilmington, yeoman, for £130, of a messuage in Bridge Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, known as The Peacock. With the following recitals: i) 23 January 1612/1613: lease from John Browne to John Ingram (ER 2/33). ii) (13 August 1633): assignment from Thomas Smith, Thomas Cresheld and Thomas Yate to Arthur Thornhill (ER 2/53)/ iii) 8 August 1640: assignment from Arthur Thornhill to William Thornburgh (ER 2/59). iv) 30 September 1648: assignment from William Thornburgh of Quinton, gent., to Thomas Gunn of Stratford-upon-Avon, tailor, for £58. v) 9 January 1656/1657: mortgage from Francis Billing and Elizabeth his wife to Richard Hunt, of the messuage, then known as The Peacock. vi) 25 April 1657: covenant that the last transaction be void on the payment by Francis Billing to Richard Hunt of £70. vii) 6 May 1658: release from Francis Billing to Richard Hunt of all rights in the premises. 7 May 1658: assignment from Francis Billing and John Woolmer to John Halford and John Boune (ER 2/70).
