Negative files: these are arranged in two sequences (black/white and colour) according to the reference system adopted in the registers (see DR757/11-16), i.e. by the letter of the alphabet, with a running series of numbers within each letter. Thus, the earliest negative for a job name beginning with T has the reference T1 and the last T429. The exception to this rule are jobs for I.D.C., the negatives of which are kept in a separate series, and for the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, whose negatives are kept by the Shakespeare Centre Library.
