Contract: the purchade of a close at the back of Moor Townsend and the mines of clay and brick earth beneath

Description

Whereas Joseph Hyde of Ryne Hill, Hampton Lucy, farmer, and Henry Hyde of Stratford, maltster, have contracted with William Horton of Stratford, bricklayer, in consideration of £100, for the absolute purchase for the residue of a term of 14 years of a close of 1a 1r 2p at the back of the Moor Townsend, having Pound Lane on the westward side thereof, and the mines of clay and brick earth beneath the soil, with free liberty to mine the clay and burn bricks, etc., WH, with the consent of the Mayor and Burgesses of Stratford, assigns the lease to JH and HH, 31st December 1834
