Tenancy particulars: regarding property in Henley Street

Description

Henley Street: Acceptance by Francis Birch of Stratford addressed to the Mayor, Aldermen and Burgesses, respecting renting a house in Henley Street, at £22 per year. He will put the interior of the house in repair if the Corporation allows him £5 towards the cost. The Corporation is to look after the exterior. Birch will want to alter the front window and make other improvements necessary to carry on his business, but the work will done to the satisfaction of the Borough Chamberlain and he undertakes to restore the house to its present form if required to do so on the completion of the tenancy. He signs with his mark, 2nd Sept 1871.
