Probate of the will of Charles James Cannning of Barcheston, farmer, made 8th May 1846, with two codicils, proved 27th January 1857. Receipt by the children of Helen Byrd, daughter of CJC, who died in the lifetime of his widow, for their share of a sum of £1000 under CJC's will, 20th February 1906
