Original will of Francis Birch of Stratford, china dealer: he devised to his wife, three messuages in Meer St; to trustees, for the use of Joseph Birch, the messuage in Henley St, late of Richard Swaine (no. 6); for the use of Sydney Birch, no 54 Henley St; and for his daughters Jane and Jessie, 7 messuages in Shakespeare and Mulberry Streets, and 3 in Great William St. The trustees were to use all the remainder of the estate for the maintenance of Joseph, Emma, Jane and Jessie, 1879 [no day and month given]. The document contains many ?later deletions in pencil, marginal notes as to its bequests in pencil and further pencilled notes on the dorse.
