Gift with warranty by William son of Gerard lord of Edricheston [Edstone] to John le Buteiller of Edricheston and his heirs of all that land which he formerly held of Roger son of Alan of Edricheston in the district around that vill, viz. two virgates of land, one messuage and one croft which William son of Humfrey holds, which lies at the end of the long croft of the said Roger, beside the highway which runs through the middle of Edricheston, and half an acre of land of which one headland runs as far as Marekerelhale[?], and the other headland runs as far as the highway which runs through Edricheston, and half an acre of land which runs as far as Fennidiche, with the meadow appurtaining to that half acre. To hold of donor for an annual rent of 12d. on Lady Day and on the eve of Martinmas, upon the high altar of St. Petrus at Wootton, for the anniversary of Gerard, William's father; John le Buteiller to render all secular services and duties except service to the king. Robert of Kirkeby [?Monks Kirby] and his heirs are obliged to pay annual rent of 2d. to John and his heirs.
