Prakriti Natak is a 1882 Bengali translation of The Tempest by Charuchandra Mukhopadhyay, published as Moniram Mudram Jantro in Calcutta. This translation is dedicated to "The Most Nobel the Marquis of Ripon K.G., G.M.S.I., Viceroy and Governor-General of India by His Excellency's most devoted Servant, The Translator." In 1882, the Viceroy and Governor-General of India was George Robinson, 1st Marquis of Ripon. A gift of the Home Department, Government of India to Her Majesty's (Queen Victoria) Secretary for the State of India (Sir R.R Cross [Viscount Cross from 19 August 1886]), and thence by the India Office, London.
