Oak dining table

Description

A mid 17th-century oak long dining table; the four-plank cleated rectangular top over moulded friezes with spandrels; raised on baluster-turned legs and heavy plain stretchers; the long stretchers each with an intermediary support block; English, about 1660; the top a later association; three spandrels replaced and with minor patches. Catalogue description by Victor Chinnery.
