Description

Medal and rosette, 1769. Commemorative medal from the Garrick Jubilee, attached with fine twisted cord to silk ribbon rosette, woven in coloured 'rainbow' stripes with the word 'Shakespeare' woven in cream. (Medal comes in mulberry wood box, together with certificates of Thomas Rackett, Canon E.H. Knowles and Dr Thomas Ghent; 1769.)
