Shakespeare Tercentenary badge

Description

Badge, 1864. A badge, or favour, produced for the Tercentenary of Shakespeare's birth, and comprising 3 oval silk badges with scalloped edges, woven in purple/white, and depicting Holy Trinity church, Birthplace, Shakespeare's portrait. They are attached to a white silk covered button woven in purple with crest. Badge is attached with metal pin to manufacturer's paper, printed with maker's details.
