Yarn winder

Description

Late 19th/early 20th century yarn winder; sycamore(?); rotary action, hand operated; four arms with simple rectangular `paddles'; axle arm slots into plain wooden uprights; one arm is notched with eleven grooves cut into the side; beneath and integral with the winder is a rectangular wood box with outwardly sloping sides for storing bobbins, at one end the box rim has a wrought iron staple; one paddle very woodwormed.
