Monk's head spoon

Description

A late fifteenth or early sixteenth-century pewter `monk's head' spoon with a hexagonal stem tapering to the head. The head terminal, or 'knop', is the head and shoulders of a priest (?) wearing a hood. The bowl is pear-shaped.
