Bronze skillet

Description

A sixteenth-century bronze skillet; flat-bottomed with slightly everted sides and three tapering legs, with hollow-channelled backs, with animal claw feet; the socketed handle has square angled side-flanges which are attached to the body, and appears to have originally had an iron extension (remains of iron handle in socket); Flemish.
