Slipware dish

Description

An 18th-century Staffordshire slipware dish; earthenware, slip-trailed and glazed; reddish-brown body with wide white slip-trailing in centre of dish; dark brown glaze not reaching the rim; very badly chipped at edges and large patch of bare clay in centre of dish; no glaze on back which is badly flaked.
