Oak Court Cupboard

Description
An early 17th-century oak court cupboard; the chamfered single-plank rectangular top with dentil moulding beneath; over an inlaid frieze of leaf and flower trail with integral carved spandrels; the central shelf with single-plank moulded shelf supported on rails carved with nulling and conforming lower shelf; each stage supported on fluted baluster turning with stop-fluted rectangular rear supports; the whole raised on turned feet; English, c.1620; the cleats added to the top at a later date; applied moulding missing from lower edge of all friezes; some later bracing beneath shelves.
