Stoneware lidded jug

Description

A 16th century stoneware lidded jug; grey and blue; ovoid with neck and handle on small base - no spout; pewter domed lid attached to top of handle with shell shaped thumb piece; dome has small knob; 7 oval panels containing moulded masks in a 2' band around centre of ovoid and repeated around neck; neck cracked.
