Gateleg table

Description

A late 17th century oak folding or gateleg table. The table has a two-plank top with three-plank falling leaves forming an oval; fitted with a drawer; raised on complex baluster-turned legs with moulded stratchers and turned feet; the gates conforming; English, c.1690; all feet replaced. Catalogue description by Victor Chinnery.
